A SEARCH FOR TRUE LOVE 💕: MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

Many years ago, like many youths out there, I was single and searching. Although I believed that marriage is a beautiful thing and that I also envisioned it so much, however, I was not into any serious love relationship at the time. I had already two failed relationships under my belt.

Marriage meant so much to me then and still does today. I was not desperate to be married, but I was surrounded by married folks whose marriage left me eagerly anticipating to join their league. Their unions weren't just genuine, but infestious also. So I couldn't wait to marry also. So, I was praying, preparing and waiting.
In 2009, I was at work in my former line manager's office sorting out some files at her request. A young lady who had just resumed work sat with her and was going through the on-boarding process.

While working on the files, I didn't mind their conversation because I knew what the conversation was all about and that I had heard it many times, having worked closely with my line manager and her predecessor.
But like someone speaking to me, a voice like no other spoke to me in my spirit: calm in nature, unmistakable, peaceful, convincing and reassuring. Prior to that day, I have never experienced God's voice in such a clear-cut way. Father said: "That's her!" I heard him clearly, so I turned to look at the new colleague once again. I looked at her briefly not to let her catch my eyes feasting on her in admiration. I left the office shortly after.

Minutes later, she was introduced to us and given a space to work. She went to sit near another single colleague who could be interested in her and didn't like it. I wished her desk was near mine but it was near another guy; an eligible bachelor, a potential suitor.

For a moment I ignored her and focused on my tasks for the day. An hour or so later, she walked out of our office. I guess it was to go use the convenience since she was walking towards that way. I followed her stylishly. I wanted to see her physique well. Of course, she was beautiful, cat-walked and had some endowments at the back the way I like it. I went back to my seat without she noticing that she was being admired and keenly watched from behind.

When God connects two persons, he works things out. I was working when Taiwo walked up to my desk to ask for assistance with something. Oh boy, I liked that (I liked the fact that she chose to talk to me rather than the other bachelors in our I office 😜😜😜). I gave her the support she needed and in surplus for that matter. Throughout that day, she kept coming to me for more support. I wasn't the head of department or supervisor or a line manager; just a "title-less" Joshua working with passion. Isn't God a good God? He is! Doesn't God work in mysterious ways? He does!

Honestly, I like everything happening because I felt that I had some edge over the other bachelors in the office. In fact, my joy knew no bounds when only the two of us were left in the office working. The other colleagues sharing the same office with us had left for home. Friends, see God!

That evening, we got talking a bit and I found her very friendly and intelligent. Although she wasn't wearing a ring on any of her fingers, however, I was a bit worried. I wasn't sure if she was involved, engaged or even married. While we talked, I stared at her fingers to see if there were some kind of traces of lines caused by constant wearing of a ring, but I saw nothing.

At some point, she realized that she was being observed. She caught my eyes on her fingers and she understood what I was up to.
