Bible Text: 2 Peter 1:3-15
MEMORY VERSE:
"But you are the chosen one, the king's priests, the holy nation, God's people, chosen to proclaim the wonderful acts of God, who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light."
1 Peter 2:9.
MESSAGE:
God selected you for a purpose. He made you run your best in the race of faith and win eternal life for yourself. In fulfilling your purpose, and running a successful Christian race, you must desire the following:
1) Righteousness: You need a clean mind to enter into God's kingdom.
2) Godliness: God wants you to act like Him in everything you do both in secret and public. When people praise you, watch if God is happy with you.
3) Faith: Having faith means believing that God will fulfill your request. Beware of those who discourage you from waiting on God.
4) Love: You have to live in a happy union with your neighbors in every condition.
5) Endurance: Learn to develop the ability to overcome difficulties or pain with strength and patience. Remember, your strength comes from God, and the devil is watching you for an opportunity to destroy your life.
6) Gentleness: Be kind and gentle in your character and do not be violent because nobody knows the day of death. Remember that Jesus Christ is meek and gentle.
As my follower, know that God selected you. Don't give the devil a chance to separate you from Christ who is fully in me. Take my word. If you miss Heaven because of the things of this world, it is not my fault. To those who accept my teachings and follow Christ, you will remember me when you finally get to Heaven.

1) Our blessed Redeemer. Ere he breathed, His tender, last farewell, A guide, a Comforter, bequeathed
With us do dwell.
2) He came sweet influence to impart, A gracious willing guest, While He finds one humble heart Wherein to rest.
3) And His gentle voice we hear Soft as the breath of evening, that checks each fault, that calms each fear and speaks of heaven.
4) And every virtue we possess and every conquest won and every thought of holiness.
5) Oh Spirit of purity and grace
Our weaknesses, pitying, see:
Oh, make our hearts your dwelling place and worthier for you forever.
Prayer for Forgiveness And God's Mercy
1) Lord, behold me with your merciful eyes and forgive my sins.
2) Lord, destroy every power that wants to separate me from you.
3) I burn to ashes every veil of darkness covering me in Jesus' name.
4) Every evil gathering of enemies in my life, scatter by fire in Jesus' name.
6) I seal my prayers and life with the Blood of Jesus.
