Whether
married or single, this message is for you because you need various knowledge about marriage if you want to have a happy and successful
Marriage with your spouse.
If Yes; welcome to the school called marriage.
A school where you will never graduate.
A school without a break or a free period.
A school where no one is allowed to drop out, no matter the challenge you have to continue.
A school where you will have to attend every day of your life.
A school where there is no sick leave or holidays.
A school where there's no transfer.
A school where all the students are at the same level.
A school founded by God with the following;
1) It is built on the foundation of love.
2) The walls are made up of trust.
3) The doors are made up of acceptance.
4) The windows are made up of understanding.
5) The furniture is made up of blessings.
6) The roof is made up of faith.
Before
I forget, take note that in the school of Marriage, you are just a
student and not the Principal, God is the Principal, the director, the coordinator, the counselor, and the teacher.
Even
in times of storms, don't be unwise and run outside, remember going to
God for all your solutions is the best decision to make.
Never
go to sleep before completing your assignments for the day. Never forget the C-word, Communicate. Always make it a routine to communicate
everything with your classmate (your spouse) and also communicate with the
Principal (God) the overall director and the instructor.
If
you find out something in your classmate (spouse) that you do not appreciate. Remember your classmate is also just a student like you who is not perfect and not a graduate that may have so much knowledge about marriage. God is not finished with him or her yet. So take it as a
challenge and work on it together.
Do
not forget to study, study your Bible. (THE MAIN TEXTBOOK FOR
SUCCESSFUL MARRIAGE as directed by God to the writers through his spirit). Start each day with a sacred assembly and end it the same way.
Any Marriage without God at the center as its pillar will always have a crisis. There is no timetable for prayer as far as the good of your
Marriage is concerned, so don't stop communicating with God in all
seasons.
Sometimes you
will feel like not attending classes, yet you have to. When tempted to quit, find the courage and continue. Marriage is never a bee of roses.
Marriage is never smooth and we don't expect it to be smooth because there will be bumps on the road. Bumps in the form of cheating and could be
micro-cheating, bumps in the form of domestic violence, bumps in the
form of disagreement, misunderstanding, and or bumps in the form of
childlessness bumps in the form of in-laws exercising power over their
son or daughter. There are bumps, expect them because it's part of what
makes Marriage a successful one.
Some
tests and exams may be tough but remember the Principal, coordinator,
counselor, moderator, and director know how much you can bear. But still, it is a school better than any other, it is one of the best schools on earth. It's full of joy, peace, and happiness which is part of the everyday lessons.
Different
subjects are offered in this school, yet love is the major subject,
after all the years of theorizing about it, now you have a chance to
practice it. To be loved is a good thing, but to love is the greatest privilege of them all.
Marriage is a place of love, so love your spouse. When tempted to raise your voice let love hold you down.
Let
love overthrow pride and selfishness and let it reign in your heart,
attitude towards your spouse, and in your words towards him or her too.
Do not hold back any love from him or her. Don't meet him or her halfway but go all the way. Love as though that's your only hope for your survival.
If not yet married, you can keep the knowledge for future use.
